‘Tis the Season… to visit the Eagles!
Eagles Members,
Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving, welcome to our email newsletter for the Mother Aerie (Eagles No.1).  We plan to send emails out to keep our members more easily informed on upcoming events, functions and updates for your club.

The Mother Aerie Christmas Party is on December 19th in the Social Room, 5pm, more details to follow!Save the Date! Plan to dance the New Year in with Cajun music and good friends at the Eagles!

We’re seeking the donation of a new or gently used vacuum cleaner for the club, please let us know if you can help out!

Volunteers needed: Volunteers willing to train for their food handler’s permit, or who already have the food handlers training, are needed to help in the kitchen during meals.

TODAY! Friday November 27th – Apple Cup 1pm
Huskies vs Cougars, the club opens at noon, enjoy drink specials: Apple Pie $4 and Washington Apple $4.50! Prime Rib dips will also be served!

Sunday November 29th – Seahawks Sunday Funday!
Seahawks vs. Steelers, 1:25pm kickoff! Club opens at noon and half price Angus Burgers starting at 3pm.

Monday November 30th – Bar Stool Bingo and Lasagna Dinner (6pm)
Mondays we’re cooking up a carefully prepared homemade lasagna with salad and garlic bread, $8 adults, $5 children.
Bingo at 7pm! Free!

Tuesday December 1st – Trustee Meeting 7pm

Wednesday December 2nd  – Taco Wednesdays – 6pm
Tacos are $2 each or 3 for $5, Taco Salads $5.
Maple Leaf Community Dance Lessons and Dance, all are welcome, Gary Harmon will be teaching 2 step, swing, waltz and more every Wednesday, tip the instructor ad bring your dancing shoes!

Thursday December 3rd – Maple Leaf Community Cajun Jam – 7pm
We are consolidating two jams into one big jam. This is an ongoing event, every Thursday until 9:30 pm, in the big room upstairs with the dance floor. So, dancers and listeners are welcome.

Friday December 4th – Karaoke with Mr. Bill – 8p

Saturday December 5th – 1st Saturday Food Bank Dance with Jenny and the Tomcats
7:30pm, tip the band and your bartender and bring a donation for the food bank!

Many hands make light work…

As we continue to add events and nights with food available we could use extra hands in the kitchen. We’d be happy to train you and know you’ll enjoy yourself! We are an all volunteer club, thanks for helping where you can!

Upcoming Events @ Eagles No.1

Here’s what is happening this week and the coming weeks…

This Week:
  • Sunday May 24th: We will be open for Sunday-Funday if you’re in town 2pm ’til 8pm or so.
  • Memorial Day: The Mother Aerie will be closed Memorial Day. “All gave some… some gave all.” We remember and we are thankful.
  • Wednesday: Taco Night!
  • Friday: Prime Rib Dinner and later Karaoke with Mr. Bill
  • Saturday May 30th: Come dance to the Country All Star Trio Saturday May 30th 7:30pm.  No cover / bring food for the North Helpline food bank and tip the volunteer band.
  • Sunday May 31st: Officer Installation @ 1pm
Upcoming:
  • Tuesday June 2nd: Auxiliary Meeting @ 7pm 
  • Wednesday June 3rd: Aerie Meeting @ 7pm;  Taco Night!
  • Saturday June 6th: First Saturday Food Bank Dance – Jenny and the Tomcats. No cover / bring food for the North Helpline food bank and tip the volunteer band. 7:30pm
  • Saturday June 13th: Folicion Cajun Dance @ 7:30pm.  

 

Watch the USA v Belgium at the Eagles No. 1

We’re open at 12:30 for the 1pm Tuesday July 1st for the World Cup matchup with Belgium.  Come cheer on your Yankee boys on the giant 12 foot projector screen.  If you get thirsty, we have all the usual great drinks as well as our new “fresh squeezed” drink menu including Caipirinhas, Greyhounds, Screwdrivers, Kamakazies and more.

We’ll see you at the club!

Kate Murphy, of the Hunger Intervention Program, accepts a check some of the Members of the Seattle Eagles No. 1 in the amount of $1111.11!

One in four Washington children live in households where families experience hunger. The Healthy HIP Packs Program, a weekend food backpack program, provides an important food resource for the children in these families when school meals are not available.
